In November 2009, National Australia Bank Limited (NAB) acquired 80.1% of Goldman Sachs Australia's (Goldman Sachs) private wealth management business across Australia and New Zealand. The private wealth management business was re-branded JBWere, and Goldman Sachs retained the remaining 19.9% ownership.
Since the strategic alliance between NAB and Goldman Sachs was formed, JBWere has maintained its status as a centre of specialist expertise. The firm is focussed on providing advice driven wealth solutions to high net worth clients, and through the strategic partnership JBWere has been able to continue providing advice while additionally leveraging the NAB and Goldman Sachs networks and expertise.
