Giving Fund Reforms: Distribution rate and smoothing

JBWere is committed to working alongside clients and sector partners to encourage more and better giving in Australia.  It is with that focus and intent, that we have made a submission to Treasury’s Giving Fund Reforms: distribution rate and smoothing consultation paper. This follows JBWere’s submissions in May 2023 and February 2024 to the Productivity Commission’s Philanthropy Inquiry.

As a trusted adviser and partner to many philanthropists and for-purpose organisations that rely on philanthropy, we believe it is important to share our views based on the perspectives of our clients, partners, and collaborators in the sector; combined with the experience and expertise of the members of our Philanthropic Services team.

Our submission is a result of extensive research, conversations with our network, and decades of experience. We look forward to engaging proactively with leaders across government, the for-purpose sector and our private clients on this matter and all others that support a more philanthropic Australia.
