Meet our Board Members

Cathryn Carver

Executive, Client Coverage, Corporate & Institutional Division, NAB

Cathryn is NAB’s Executive General Manager, Client Coverage in Corporate & Institutional Banking, a role she was appointed to in 2017. In this role Cathryn has global responsibility for leading NAB’s relationship banking team focused on institutional and corporate client relationships across key industry sectors. She is currently the Chair of the Board of JBWere, a wealth management company with a heritage dating back to 1840 which works with a range of clients across Australia. In addition, Cathryn is Chair of NAB’s Affordable Housing Council and a member of the Group Non-financial Risk Committee.

Cathryn was previously Acting Chief Customer Officer – Corporate and Institutional Banking and has also held other Executive roles with NAB, focusing on corporate and institutional markets, since joining in 2016.

Before joining NAB, Cathryn was with ANZ Bank, and between 2005 and 2016, she held senior executive roles in Corporate Finance, Institutional Banking and Capital Markets. In October 2010 she re-located to Hong Kong where she led the team responsible for providing debt capital markets solutions to ANZ’s Institutional and Financial Institution clients.

Prior to joining ANZ, Cathryn held senior management roles at Westpac and Macquarie Bank.

Cathryn is a proven and purpose-driven leader, with a passion for building client advocacy through meaningful relationships and encouraging future leaders in an inclusive and diversified working environment. She is particularly focused on developing emerging leaders to hone their skills and experience to take on more senior roles. A spokesperson on the critical issues of climate transition, affordable and social housing, and women in leadership, Cathryn plays a significant role in mentoring colleagues and aspiring leaders. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women, an organisation representing over 600 of Australia’s most senior women leaders.


Michael Saadie

Executive Private Wealth, CEO - JBWere

Michael joined NAB in October 2011 and was appointed Executive, NAB Private Wealth and CEO JBWere in January 2023. In this role, Michael leads NAB’s wealth management services including private bankers, wealth advisors, investment specialists, support teams and the nabtrade platform – to deliver the best possible wealth outcomes to clients. 

Michael’s many years of leadership in the finance sector includes previous roles as Executive, NAB Business Banking Metro Australia, Chief Risk Officer for Business and Private Bank at NAB, and leading the NAB UK & Europe operations. Michael also held the role of Chairman of JBWere from April 2020 to 2nd June 2023.

Throughout Michael’s diverse career of more than 30 years in financial services, he has led specialist teams and large-scale businesses within Corporate and Institutional Banking, Wealth Management, Private Banking and Corporate and Commercial Property.

Michael is a Director on the Victoria Racing board and a member of the Brighton Grammar school Finance Committee.


Greg Braddy

Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer, NAB

Greg commenced his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (then Coopers & Lybrand) Melbourne in January 1988. During his career with PwC, Greg provided internal and external audit services to clients in Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom, with a specialisation in insurance and investment management. 

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Greg was admitted to the partnership of PwC on 1 July 1999, a position he held until 31 January 2007 when he joined National Australia Bank (NAB) as the Chief Financial Officer for NAB’s Australian businesses. After two years as CFO, Greg was appointed as NAB’s Program Executive for a major change initiative and was subsequently appointed as Executive General Manager Audit for the NAB Group in October 2011. Greg was a Trustee Director of the NAB Group Staff Superannuation Fund from 2008 – 2015. In August 2015, Greg was appointed as the Executive General Manager and CFO for NAB’s Business & Private Bank.

In February 2017 he was appointed to the Board of JBWere (JBWere Ltd, JBWere (NZ) Pty Ltd and Invia Custodian Pty Ltd). 

In December 2017, Greg was appointed to the position of Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer. Greg holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.


Maria Lykouras

CEO, JBWERE AUSTRALIA

Maria joined JBWere in July 2022 as Executive, JBWere, bringing over 23 years’ experience as a widely-respected executive leader in the financial services sector. During her time managing Advice businesses, she has successfully delivered sustainable growth, strong risk and governance and productivity improvements across all areas of wealth management. 

Maria joined JBWere having spent the last 10 years with CBA, where she led the CommPrivate Advice Business as General Manager, Advice. She has also worked across strategic risk, compliance and advisory roles at BT Financial Group, Count Financial, Australia Skandia, ipac and Citibank.
